Top Floor Beverage
Alex Carrillo is the Co-Founder of Top Floor Beverage, and his understanding of hard work was forged early on. Raised in Shorewood, Illinois, by two dedicated firefighter/paramedic parents who also ran a family landscaping company, Alex got a front-row seat to what it takes to build a business and serve a community.
After his family relocated to Eagle River, Wisconsin, in 2012, Alex channeled that inherited drive into competitive travel hockey, playing across the country and internationally. But it was on the water where the seeds for his future were truly planted. Known for pushing the limits, Alex was a performer for the Aqua Devils and Chainskimmers waterski show teams, specializing in freestyle jumping, throwing spins and flips off a 6-foot ramp. It was through this adrenaline-fueled community that he met Will and Sam Rutkowski.
During Alex's final year of competitive hockey in Madison, Wisconsin, the three spent countless hours together, ultimately transforming a shared vision into what is now Top Floor. Today, when he isn't helping grow Top Floor, Alex is taking full advantage of any outdoor adventure he can find. He's a true Northwoods guy at heart, known for his love of hunting and fishing, especially drilling holes for winter ice fishing. When the lakes freeze over, he trades his waterskis for a snowboard. Recently hooked on riding the big mountains out West, he has a pretty epic fun fact: he has snowboarded almost every hill in Montana. Whether he's launching off a ramp, chasing fresh powder, or building Top Floor, Alex brings the same relentless drive to everything he does.

Samuel Rutkowski is the Chief Operating Officer of Top Floor Beverage, where he leads key areas of growth, operations, and brand development. As a student entrepreneur at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, he has played an integral role in building the company from its early stages and helping shape Top Floor into a brand with real momentum.
Driven by a passion for entrepreneurship, consumer connection, and modern brand strategy, Samuel is focused on helping Top Floor stand out in a crowded beverage market. His goal is to build a brand that feels distinctive, elevated, and relevant while delivering a quality product experience that resonates with the next generation of consumers.
Raised in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, Sam's roots are grounded in the outdoors, life on the water, and the strong sense of connection that comes with Northern Wisconsin. He values both the character of the Northwoods and the energy of Madison, and he brings that same balance of authenticity, ambition, and lifestyle into the brand he is helping build.

William Rutkowski is the CEO and Co-Founder of Top Floor Beverage, a next-generation RTD brand built around bold flavor, clean ingredients, and a more intentional way to drink. He started Top Floor while attending the University of Wisconsin–Madison after realizing that most options on the market felt repetitive, overly processed, and disconnected from how people actually socialize and connect. What began as an observation quickly turned into an obsession with building something better.
He's been building from an early age, launching his first business at 16, and has always been drawn to understanding why people choose what they choose. That curiosity around consumer behavior became a foundation for Top Floor. Every decision, from flavor profiles to branding to the overall experience, is driven by how the product fits into real moments, not just how it looks on a shelf. To him, Top Floor isn't just a drink, it's a brand people can step into, something that carries energy, creates connection, and becomes part of the environments where people involve themselves.
At the same time, his path hasn't followed a traditional playbook. Building a company from scratch while navigating college, limited resources, and constant uncertainty has required a hands-on, execution-first approach. Instead of relying on theory, he's learned through iteration, refining the product, adjusting strategy in real time, and staying close to the people Top Floor is built for. That proximity has become one of the brand's biggest advantages, keeping it authentic, adaptable, and aligned with its audience as it grows.
Balancing the intensity of building a business with the reality of college life has also shaped his perspective. Being in the same environments where the product lives has allowed him to see firsthand what works, what doesn't, and what's missing. That constant feedback loop has helped Top Floor and William to evolve quickly while staying grounded in real consumer behavior rather than assumptions.
His vision is to scale Top Floor far beyond its campus roots and into a brand that defines the future of social drinking, one that feels elevated without being exclusive, and intentional without losing the spontaneity that makes social experiences memorable. More than anything, he's focused on building something that lasts: a brand that people don't just consume, but identify with.
